Agent Mode vs. Studio Mode: Choosing the Right Workflow

Compare the autonomous AI Agent with the Studio Workbench to choose the best creation workflow.

Understanding DigitalXLR Workspaces

DigitalXLR provides two specialized workspaces engineered for different stages of the creative process: Agent Mode and Studio Mode.

1. Agent Mode (The AI Creative Assistant)

The Agent Mode (accessible at /) acts as an autonomous creative director. It is designed for conversational prompt preparation, automatic reference image inspection, and guided multi-step workflows.

  • Automatic Prompt Structuring: Rewrites raw ideas into structured production prompts.
  • Automatic Face-Bypass Transformations: Detects real human photographs and automatically transforms them into colored pencil sketch references to pass Seedance biometric filters.
  • Guided Assistance: Ideal when developing new concepts, exploring prompt ideas, or working with complex multi-character references.

2. Studio Mode (The Direct Workbench)

The Studio Workbench (accessible at /studio) is built for fast, direct, and unassisted manual control.

  • Manual Control: Direct prompt input with immediate queue submission.
  • Timeline Media History: Scrollable, full-width feed displaying all your previous completions, processing tasks, and token usage history.
  • Power Tools: Built-in keyframe extraction, blur/pixelation masking tools, and 1-click prompt recreation.

Which One Should You Use?

Use Agent Mode when starting with raw photographs of real people or exploring new creative ideas. Switch to Studio Mode when you have exact prompts ready and want rapid, direct generation.
